Hey,

Wondering who uses oziexplorer for navigation on a laptop in a 4b.

I am using it with a mouse style reciever and wishing to know how to do a few things.

Snail trails - tracking when driving? (where, how)
is it easy to connect up to freedrive and are these features with fd as well?
entering UTM waypoints in direct, i am using AUS 1966 as a usual input.

Thanks

Nic

Ctrl-T or View->Show Tracks on Map

Don't know yet.. let me know when you figure it out. ;)

Alt-W or View->Lists->Waypoints List
Click on the "#" on the toolbar up the top
Click Add
Enter in your co-ords in UTM

Let me know if you've got problems.

Cheers

What is the most common Datum? Mine is set on WGS84

Set your datum to match the map in use. If you're using a topo map you will find this info in the information at the side / bottom. If you make sure thatthe grid system also matches, it becomes really easy to find where you are on a paper map as well.

just a thought - if you set laptop to relavant datum - what about the GPS, do you set that to the datum as well?
