Hi all,

I've done a few searches on the WWW (not just OL), I am after any good info sources to learn a bit more about management systems, the various brands etc and what each can do, does anyone know any good links?

Thanks for the help.

Cheers, Paul

Hey Beretta, Check www.microtechefi.com

They are, in my opinion, the best value for money aftermarket engine management system. Haltech and wolf are cheap, they perform well but don't have quite as fine adjustments as microtec.
Motec is excellent but exy
Drag racing is big on A/M efi stuff.. check around there sites.
Cheers.

If you're into DIY MegaSquirt is a good option, and the website has excellent info on how the various bits work - which should be relevant for most systems.

ive delt with all (except Motec) and by far best value for money would have to be autronic
comes with prefabricated loom with excellant wiring diagram -all wires coloured and marked.
very smart - if you add all the varibles ie no. of cylinders, comp ratio, firing order and what not you can target a afr to even start the vehicle the computer works all the injection and timing to run it at a rough guess
then you can do a auto road tune if you cant access a dyno to tidy the target afrs

bit more pricy but as the old saying you get what you pay for

I found this article when I was researching aftermarket EFI and found it was worth a read, they also rate the microtech system quite well,I've found the best way is to ask people who have done alot of efi installs like your local autosparky. If you are going to do the install your self make sure the supplier has good aftersales tech support(I've found microtech good for this)

hope this helps

we fit aftermarket computors to high performance cars for a living and in my opinion microtech is proberly at the top of the list because of the ease of fitting, ease of setup and tuning and 90% of performance shops know a fare bit about them so if u have a problem no matter where u are some one can help u out, plus they are very well priced.
