SWB roof racks.

Post by dansedgli »

Hey guys,

I did a search and nothing comes up in the nissan forums.

Does anyone make roof racks for a SWB GQ?

How do they mount? They seem easy enough to make, has anyone made their own? Do you have any pics?

Do holes need to be drilled into the roof?

One would be handy for mounting lights and carrying camping gear.

Thanks!
Dan

The arb racks are steel so they are heavier, There is a mob in slacks creek that custom make aluminium ones for about 800 bucks or east coast bullbars make one that has interchangable legs for about 1200 bucks i think, depends what u want. :)

Its the same as any other GQ/GU Patrol, just a shorter roof. You can get away with 2 bars instead of 3, and most manufacturers make a range of different length trays and baskets.

ARB's rack which is around 1800 long (3/4 length for a LWB) will fit full length on a SWB. Not called up in the catalogue as that but will fit. Had one fitted to my shorty a while back
