Water in Gearbox :(

Looks like I've got some water into my gearbox  . Most of the oil was fine then turned to custard at the bottom when I went to change it.

Any brilliant fixes on getting all the $#!T out of it? Ripco/Supercheap have no specific gearbox flush like you can get for engines.
I was thinking pouring kero in through the top (where the gear sticks go) but I'm concerned it won't all come out. Will a little bit of kero left in there cause any dramas?

Another thought was just flushing with cheap engine oil, run for a couple of seconds then drain it. Unfortunately there's no cheap gearbox oil.

A mechanic told me to just leave it draining overnight then in with the new oil.

What do you guys reckon?

Any G/Box oil is cheaper than a rebuild. Water can hang arround in drivelines, I would change the oil, drive it a short distance and change it again. What is your G/Lever boot like ?, where is the water getting in.

Water issue is all sorted. Just need to stop it happening again now.
Not sure where it's getting in yet. Must be through the gear boot or breather.
