Local guy comes ere once a fortnight and does a top job and cheap too...
$140 per tank PROVIDED its empty and out of the car. What ya get is a NEW lockout valve, a NEW blowoff valve, a new guage, and a new AFL valve fitted.
The tank is then re-stamped with a 10 year warranty and he issues a certificate which duplicates the stamped tank....... the certificate also shows the price and the work done in an invoice style setup.
It pays to shop around as the price varys heaps between them... there's one group that do a run down through here once a year and they advertise in a big way but cause not many ppl are in the know they make a killin for that one run...... I've been told they charge $220 for the exact same thing as the local man does every fortnight....... only he dont advertise.

The people I have spoken to in Bris only fit a new blowoff valve and inspect the tank - I have had to replace the AFL valve and the lockout myself. The AFL was $99inc :(

The single round valves (multivalves) will cost about $220 or so to re test, i had my twin tanks for the rangie tested for $440 and it was the cheapest i could find !

Donut tanks apart from very late models all come with a single multivalve which do cost $220 + to test. The complete valve is replaced with a good quality Australian made multi valve with a more conventional 90ohm sender which lets you use a good range of gauges. A lot of older donut tanks used a valve manufactured by BRC and this is the only multivalve that has a replaceable relief valve, it does bring the cost down of a test to something similar to the price of a conventional 4 or 5 valve tank.
