does any one know what would cause my 1.3 crappers revs to go up and down between 900 and 2000 revs when i tern my lights on or my fan on im stumped :? :x

your idle up will be out of ajustment on your carby. nothing serious. just a screw that has either fallen out or needs ajusting.

The reason for the device is to keep the revs steady when power is getting drained as with such small alternators and batteries they are very sensative to power being drained from lights, demisters etc.

check the little vacum actuator near the front of the manifold for leaks.when you switch the light curcuit on it transfers vacum from the manifold to the carby.then via a dashpot on the carby increases idle a little.

mine did same plus a lot of other isues bit the bullet had it rebuilt best thing ever $300 odd cheers ron
