The only 1.6 16v I have heard of was supposedly in some European (may have been Hungary) Suzuki cars and or commercial vehicles but it was never in the Vitara in any market.

the 16v motor has only one cam.the difference between the 8 valve is the head and the crankshaft.the 16 valve has double the amount fo counterweights and the timing belt is wider.otherwise it has the same engine mount bolts, bell housing etc...

The 1.6 16v DOHC supposedly was a Hungarian/Central European market engine only and was not high on power. It was fitted to a Swift according to what I heard.

That's the attitude :D

Yes, it will work. I take it it that you have things such as the wirng, computer and exhaust manifold to do the job?
