After a bit of info, (after seaching)
When it comes time to look for a new toy, i was thinking of one of the above vehicles. After reading a few posts, i have come to believe that these mid 80's hilux xtra cabs and 4runners dont have power steering. True?
Would be looking to run 33's... After only owning diesel 4bys, including a '88 turbo surf, would maybe thinking getting a petrol version, to help spin the tyres. would a petrol be better on road also, or still a slow engine? Much worse ecconomy over the little 2.4diesel motor? Thinking that there would be more petrols available cheaper than dieselsa anways.
I Like the single cabs, but would appreciate the extra room provided by the other 2models. Xtra cab with a nice short tray could avoid panel damage i spose too. 4runner, can pack more stuff on weekend aways.
Any comments/pics on these two would be appreciated. What to look for when buying. What models have the strong weak drivelines? A lot of the pics in the members section no longer work which is a shame...
