Post by known 2 »

hey guys i looked into this a while ago now and i've just looked at this sprintex site that has a power calculater. now acording to this if i run 9psi throo my 1hz at 4500rpm it will produce 230kw. can anyone confirm this cos it seems a bit optimistic to me.

heres the site. http://sprintex.linconline.net/files/Bl ... ulator.xls

I have only ever seen 1 supercharger on a 1hz (Rod McLEAD). It kept blowing harmonic balancers and he finally got rid of the set up all together. However it did go hard.

going off this page: http://sprintex.linconline.net/Toyota_L ... r_Kits.asp it seem that the diesels/petrols gain about an extra 35% gain thorugh all rev ranges

doing the maths assuming your 1hz is around 100kw as you have said before, you will only get at least 140kw if your lucky...and thats at the motor

going by rule of thumb of kw/motor is to hp/wheels, thats 140hp at the treads - 33" tyres and weight of the car and extras as your sliders + carrier

thats going figures off a standard car?

if you add and intercooler then you might gain another 15-20% increase on the original but i dont think it will be worth in in the long run, denco turbo kits with intercooler + few hours on the dyno @ a good tuners would be cheaper and has been proven to above 150hp at the wheels on 35's on a stock motor

we personally have a mate who has this done and who is on the boards, if you want to know more letme know and ill see if he doesnt mind letting his secrets out :)
