Off the shelf Bundera lifts

Have tried 80 series front springs all round and it was too high for my liking. So i'm looking at just buying a 2" kit.

Who makes them and which are the better ones?

is there anything wrong with the OME kit? I've read some nasty things.

Also should i just be looking to get the springs then get the shocks i want? or should it all be matched up.

How much higher did it go over the standard?
Were your originals a little sagged to start with?

Reason I ask is because I thought front 80's springs have a higher rating than their rears, and the deisel front ones are higher rated than the petrol front ones again.

Have you tried standard 80's rear springs in the rear and front for front off a petrol 80s.

Pedders have 1 and 2" lifted springs for Bundy's, dont know who makes them though.

I am pondering the 80s springs for my Bundy as it's going to have a 350 transplant and an LPG tank in the rear so it will be interesting what others have experienced.

it pretty easy all you need to do id get the springs and shocks that will give a 2" lift, i got mine done using Lovell springs and ironman foamcell shocks, i also could have used rancho or tougdog, i also put a RTC steering dampner in at the same time.
there not that hadr to lift!!

I've just started work on a 91 LC Prado which I think is what you call a Bundy in Oz. This is being built as a winch truck so can any of you tell me how good the front suspension is? The reason I ask is I'm fitting a 5.0 Holden, and cutting it down to a trayback, fitting 35x11.5 Simex and a few other things. I need to know what has to be done to fit the tyres, and make suspension better. Most likely we'll use coil overs but if the standard setup is up to it then the money saved will go to other things. Any help appreciated.

It raised it 90mm, i'm not sure how sagged the current springs are, it sits level front to rear as it is now, but i imagine there would be 10-20mm of sag there.

Wasn't aware of the differences between the petrol and diesel front springs. There is a slight difference in the 2 pairs i have, but they are the same height. I think the ends taper slightly differently.

Appart from looking about 1" too high (on 32's), it was skewing the diffs and stretching the driveline and i didn't want to spend the money in correcting those sorts of things.

Still have the springs if your interested.

nzdarin im kinda doing the same thing more or less
front end is same as a gq so what a gq can do a bundy can do with relation to the front end

but get rid of the 3 link front asap, perhapse using a rangie a frame setup

syzygy dont touch a tjm kit i had 50mm had one in mine when i got it ....... had less travel than my ifs triton it think when they made the kit they meant 50mm of travel not lift :P

efs make good kits if they have one 4 a bundy otherwise mab look at gq springs as they r shorter than 80 series

here is a pic of mine and i think the front is pretty much flexed out but i think the back has a bit more to go i dont know if its good or bad for a bundy but here it is

Dobinson do a nice coil for the Bundera.

50mm raised.

Front Part No. C59-082

Rear Part No. C59-083

Kings Do a 50mm raised coil aswell

Front Part No. KTFR-41

Rear Part No. KTRR-42

correction i meant to say 3 link rear
u cant engineer a a frame front in qld and i wouldnt drive on one anyways
for front 5 link it if u must but i leaving mine alone besides a few small mods

so no big bundy no a frame front

if you dont want to go a 5 link Sam Kneck said Glen from Dobbin Engineering makes a cross link setup for the front which is very similar to Chads Hilux.
Gives double the amount of flex without upsetting the road driving.

that might be somthing to look into

i had standard 80 front srings in my Bundy and 35 no worries. If u want less hight try some 78 series front springs, same size just shorter, with some 80 series shockers.....
