thats all fabricated
housing is a fabricated 9 inch center to start with with most likley folded moly centre and end tubes.
Cnc machined drop boxes with axles and bearing supports.
Most likely mulit plat chain drive gearing, with something wacked on from something else on the end , thus why i has no CV and end hubs on the end yet..
Spring mounts are the new circular blue tack and bubble gum mount types.

Damn guys - welcome to about two years ago!!!!
IIRC that was made by avalanch is the axles they used on the assassin.
Not a very good axle at all. The portal reduction is before the steering joint so the steering joint doesent see the benefits of the torque reduction possible if it was before the portal.
That axle is no stronger than a normal built D60.
Its a piece of crap

heres a pic of the whole rig.
Now this thing is really last years technology. By the time that it came into the comp scene it got its arse kicked all over the place. About the only comp it won that I can remember was a womens only event.

Sam is right they have been around for about the last 2 years and there only seems to be a hand full of them in use!
Like Sam said the reduction is before the steering uni so all the reduction forced threw that joint, where as say a Mog or Volvo the steering is before the reduction and as a result less stress on the steering joint (instead of say 80:1 passing threw the uni joint there would only be 30:1 passing threw the mog uni) then the remaining reduction is in the Hub!
The Germans are not so Dumb!
As for spring mounts, if your spending 25 grand per diff i doubt you would be using a leaf or coil set-up, coil overs would fit quite easily!
For that type of Money you could buy 2 or 3 sets of Mogs a couple of D60 and throw in a set of rockwells, I know what i would be buying!
They do look Hell cool
But very $$$$$$$$ and very 83 Lux (weak)

It a bit of a Joke!
But the fact that it was made 2 years ago means its last years tech!!!
This is what people should be looking into as this years tech!!!

Oh yes by the way!
The Mog is Very Last years technology (say 40years) but IT works!!!!!
So is the D60 and very much so the Rockwell!

Hmmm, i was just wondering. I realise that ideas get old reasonably quickly for the yanks, and they are waaaaay ahead of us, although i think we are catching up. I just thought no matter whether it was built 2-3 years ago over there, it's still new and exciting for us.
Also the design principles look fairly close to what they are building now, narrow, low[ish] COG, width, rear steer [although this is matter for debate] etc etc. That's the reason i asked 'specifically' what about it is 'old skoool'
I completly agree with you about the axles, i can't comprehend spending the sorf of $$$ they spend on axles, a set of mogs would have gone under there just as well, and they could have put the money into RnD of something else.
I know i sure as hell wouldn't turn one down !!

The axle is last years tech because the portal reduction is before the steering axle.
And the whole rig is last years tech because its tall and heavy and wide and the way the suspension works it climbs very badly.
It works OK on the very slow crawling stuff.
