i have a new 35 claw with a small cut all the way through the sidewall.
if a can get it patched and run a tube it would make a great spare.
who is patching these tyres in melbourne?

If it's clean through the sidewall it's useless as a spare and unroadworthy. No reputable tyre reparer will fix it (illegal to patch sidewalls, too much flex), if that is any guide....try, but I wouldn't like your chances.
Bite the bullet and buy a decent secondhand one as a spare, and turn you holed one into a kiddies swing for the back yard.

i already have the spare sorted out. its just sad to see a claw at 99% tread useless!

Could you take it up as a quality issue with the manufacturer? ie ocurred on a small rock or whatever, that really should not have done the damage that it did?
