mate i hvae been told that you have to run wheel spaces for anything over 35 on a lux or you wont be able to turn.

Yeh, you will need to widen your track somehow, be it ifs widetrack or spacers. Plus moving your front diff forward will eliminate the tyre scrubbing out on the back of the arches.

cut and flippped rims....cheap easy and gives u plenty of room
my car used to have 37's under it ran cut n flipped rims..had the steering stops wound right out and the front diff was moved forward 3inchs...
iv also got extended shackles and dropped front crossmember.
im (hopefully) gettin 36's in sept...and will be running them on c/f rims
i drive around on 31's during the week and it has an extremely bad turning circle...

the rims i use now for my 33s are custom offset so i still should be able to use them

i run 36 tsl's on my lux, ext. shackles 2 inch spring and body, with a 60"S crusier off set rims, no scrubing or fowling of the springs at front, even under full flex

I call bullshit. I have 36" tsl's and they were on cruiser offset rims and rubbed like a bitch on the springs, even my 34" JT2's rubbed. I now have cut and flipped rims which work a treat.

no bullshit, mine don't scrub on springs, the only mod under the guard was the plastic inner guard
ive had more troubles with the rear with the side lugs gripping the tube cross member until i gorund them flush.

Yes, its called different diff ratios.
And lets remember that width is a factor in whether it will scrub the spring or not, 36x10.5 (q78) swampers shouldn't rub on mine once ive done the widetrack, but 36x12.5 will definately scrub out.

thats one of the thing im still not 100% on should i be looking at 36/10.5 or 36/12.5, ive got 12.5 muddys on now and i most say i lovw wide tyres they just seem to stable the truck better + they look way better

I put a set of 36x14.5x15 on 10x15 offset rims off my cruiser on my 84 4 runner and had no trouble at all on the road but never went 4x4ing with them on. They did wonder heaps on the road though so went back to 35x12.5 with 2" wheel spacers on 8x15 rims.
