Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi,
I'm looking at a 1995 Triton to buy but it has a rooted engine (snapped crankshaft etc). Whats a second hand engine worth roughly and are they hard to get or are there any decent substitutes?

I have a perfectly good 89 2.5TD Pajero for sale for not much more than a new engine. The engine in mine has approx 60k on it and has been completely rebuilt as has the turbo ( Hi flowed ) and fuel pump. Has heaps of mods. Needs to go as I have purchased another vehicle.
