Hi, can you still get the stock 3 stage shocks for the rockys or are there any after market shocks that fit?
Or are they not much good anyway?
Thanks Rick

They were crap and should be ditched as soon as humanly possible. :D

A decent set of aftermarkets are sooooo much better - even without the "adjust" - just watch the open and closed lengths ( rear particularly ) if you have worked the suspension.

Put the kayaba (KYB) twin on the rocky. Lower or the same price and 100 times beter than 3stage shocks. I get all 4 KYB twin tube shocks for 240Euro(400 australian dollars).

In our country the price for one genuine 3stage shock is 100 Euro(170 australian dollars), but KYB twin tube cost only 60 Euro(100 australian dollars).

I have 9-way adjustable Rancho RS9000 on the back of my Rocky and RS5000 up front.

I recommend them very highly.
The adjustment makes it suitable for all conditions... Sometimes, the 4x4 shocks can be a bit too hard. (I heard Tough Dog Foams are quite hard on the back of the Rocky)

The RS5000 are valved spot on for the cars weight, and on road I run the RS9000 on the setting of a RS5000 anyways... Off road I turn them down to 1 so they are very soft, and on the freeway or when towing I crank them up for good stability. They work well.
