Looking to go back to a 2nd set of Bias Tyres.
still drive 4-5 hours on the blacktop to my offroad destinations and and looking for a tuff durable tyre that will take the punishment.
Had a couple of unexpected failures with my radial claws!
only expeirence with rag tyres in the past in JT2`s and Swampers, Creepys.
any advise would be great!
Grant.

The Mickey T Bias Claw have better manners on road in my opinion. Reason for this is that they run a fibreglass belting to keep a flatter footprint at higher speeds and reduce crowning of the tyre. Because of this belting, they also don't 'roll under' when cornering like other non-belted Bias tyres.
With the ET's, a lot of people run them at higher pressures on road so they are on the centre tread and keep them off the large shoulder lugs for better ride and comfort. The drawback with this is running on a much narrower section of tread leading to reduced handling.
Hope it helps,
Ryano

I have just bought some 37" bias claws and find them very good on the road. Not good in the wet though but that could be cause they are new.
