1KZ into a Bundy

Post by gogo »

My current set up is a 2LT engine mounted onto a R150/1 gearbox. What I wanna do is replace the 2LT engine with a 1KZ engine.

The best option, price wise, is to buy a 1KZ auto from a hulux surf.

As I want a manual I want to mate the auto engine onto the R150/1 gearbox. So here's a coupla Q's and would be gratful for the best answer..

1. Is it a difficult job to mate the 1KZ auto to the manual gearbox :?:

2. From what can I take the flywheel from :?:

3. Which bell housing do I need for the 1KZ to my current R150/1 gearbox :?:

The other option, a little more pricey is to buy the 1KZ manual from a prado....not very common, that why I want go for mating the auto to my manual box.

The 1KZ manual and auto are the same engine change flex plate for flywheel and a different computor

[1] No all you need is a 1KZ bellhousing

[2] 1KZ

[3] 1KZ bellhousing

I have a complete 1KZ manual engine sitting in my workshop including computor harness and bell housing
