commodore v6 conversion

Finished it on Friday drove it in a comp on Saturday night its awsome. The amount of power this thing puts out is amazing running 38 TSLs with 5.29 diffs and 5.14 trans gear .Got stuck on a rock step just reversed up about a foot gunned it up she went couldnt have done that with the 1.3
Im runnig a series 1 motor and auto turbo 700 still useing the standard thermo fan but on a v8 torana radiator mounted out the back of the cab.I placed the motor as far back as I could untill clearance was going to be a problem with the steering shaft.Had to cut out the trans tunnel and some of the floor moved the trans case backwards about 8 inches.I made engine mounts out of some Nissan Skyline lower control arm bushes and 6mm plate .Made the trans mount out of some jeep panhard rod bushings and a piece of 1 inch shed 80 round bar all works very well.Had to cut of rotate and re weld the passenger exhaust manifold to clear chassis rail drivers was fine .
Its a bit of work but power wise definatly worth it this thing just crawls around to easy now .I believed it would run away down hills but just put it in first no feet on the pedles and she crawls down just as slow as the old manual box.I used a commodore air con condensor as an oil cooler for the trans it never got above 50 degrees nice and cold motor ran at 82 degrees.Only bad thing so far is that to change from high to low you have to go into park or some time turn of the motor and go into neutral to unload the trans case to change up or down no big really
Will post some photos tomorrow
