speedo correction with 31's

on my 89 vitara i want to know what to use to correct the speedo with the 31 in tyres on it

GPS.................

I have used a Garmin GPS to see what the difference is, with 30" on my Vit the speedo is out by 8klms at 100klms.

GPS worked for me its 10 kms the dif on the 30" BFG's

yeah i would assume its cable driven so i was wondering if there was a different gear to put in the drive cable

On my zook i just worked out what speedo speed to do certain road speeds then wrote it on a bit of paper taped on the dash :lol:

not as far as I am aware, but a good speedo shop will sell you a ratio box that will correct he speedo.

It depends why you are doing it. If it is for an engineers cert, you will need the ratio box. If it is for your own use, buy a cheap GPS and stick it on the dash, then you won't get lost and wont be speeding.

My guess is that you will change tyres again eventually and the ratio box will be wrong again. a GPS is always right!

I believe u can get adjustable speedo boxes

VDO ratio box. i think the part no. is 12415

Go to http://www.suzukiinfo.com/sierra download the guage templates that are calibrated for 31".
Adjust the design if you dont like them then get them printed on a sticker. You will be a fraction underspeed but all good.
A cheap fix.
