Anyone done it, as per Freedrive is for destinator?

I run Oziexplorer on a laptop connected to a mouse style reciever. I would like to set options up such as at startup load my usual map/waypoints/moving map control and start communications automatically.

I have looked and you can only do so many things with the settings in OZI

Thanks

Nic

Other options can be achieved by saving particular .dat files in the oziexplorer folder. See http://members.shaw.ca/davepatton/ozi/OziDATinfo.txt

There is a utility for creating .dat files here http://members.optusnet.com.au/~johntse ... utils.html

The best place to ask questions on Oziexplorer is here http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OziUsers-L/

A particular map can be loaded on startup by adding it to the command line.

The command line parameters:
/mmstart - Starts Moving Map (NMEA) communication
/mmcontrol - Shows the Moving Map Control
/navcontrol - Shows the Navigation Control
/gpsfix - Shows the GPS Fix window

Change the command line in your shortcut to (for example):
oziexp.exe c:\oziexplorer\maps\mymap.map /mmstart /mmcontrol /navcontrol /gpsfix

Sorry can't help with loading waypoints at startup. I could tell you how to load a track, but that won't help. If it is possible, someone on the yahoo group will soon tell you.

I run ozi embedded in roadrunner. It's pretty easy to make it start up as you want.

create an empty file in your oziexplorer directory called 'loadblankmap.dat'
start ozi with something like
"oziexp.exe /mmstart c:\oziexplorer\data\mywaypoints.wpt"
You can't load waypoints without first loading a map, and the waypoints are loaded before moving map loads the appropriate map - so you have to start with a blank map for half a second until mm takes over.
There's no point loading your 'favorite map' on startup, as mm will load the most appropriate map straight away, you'll just get a delay as the first map loads, then another delay as mm loads it's map.

Also, you can customose the toolbar with your most often used functions, like saving tracks/waypoints/etc, finding maps, day/night screen etc.
