Brakes won't bleed

Good evening gentlemen,

81 2 door project. Went to bleed the brakes so I could stop the thing outside the shed its been in for the last 6 months. Bled brakes on RRs before, but can't even get fluid flowing through open bleed nipples with this one. Brakes worked fine before project started.

Had master cylinder apart, seals and bore fine, but did both anyway. Still won't push fluid or air through lines. Can see fluid reservoir when pushing brake pedal (no bonnet on) and bubbles rise with pedal depression.

According to the manuals I've got the internals in the mc are post 86, so I assume the mc is same. It also has a brake pressure reducing valve, the workings of which I would love to know (PA?).

TIA, DL

Nipples are most likely blocked, see my post below under brakes failing for an easy how to on bleeding.

The flexible brake hoses may have collapsed, all my front ones had and the rear was only just letting fluid through.

Thanks guys,

Tried pressure method with half bike tube (ala Rangie.com), but didn't work. Tried more pressure, but put a little split in mc tank. Had spare.

Bled mc by loosening output tubes, etc and then could get left front 1 and 2 circuits going. Bled the lot after that, but still has some air somewhere. Brakes work but pedal not good yet. At least it's out of the shed.

Thanks, DL
