help for beginner in lifting a patrol

hey all

Just bought my first car and being a 4x4 enthusist my new vechile is a 1985 mq short wheel base nissan patrol i was just woundering if i wanted to raise it could i just put blocks in under the shocks or what do i need to do i only want 3" lift whats the best and cheapest way to go bout this

do a search, this topic has been covered a lot lately.

but basiclly, 2" lifted springs, or a 2" BL or extended shackles or a combination of both.

$100 gets you a 2" body lift. you can fit this in around 3 hours including holdups

- undo steering knuckle to let it slide once the body comes up ( just before the steering box)
- bend clutch fluid hose bracket
- Undo the brake line bracket on the rear diff
- the rear mounts are back to front - we used a hole saw and drilled through to top to mount - im sure you will work it out

Spring lift is expensive - And you get less flex if they are stiff springs to get the lift.
