Just got back from a 6000km trip through the simpson desert and all over the centre of OZ. A lot of the driving was on some harsh corrugated roads, among a LOT of things my VDO tyre pressure gauge broke. Just wanted some ideas of what people use for a replacement, I found the VDO gauge very good but looking for alternatives. It was an analogue gauge, not sure on accuracy of digital gauges.

I bought the Stetho-Gauge from Opposite Lock.. works very well, and it has a plastic protective case to boot

PCL pencil gauge. Only one moving part & very accurate. Have 3, all over 5 yrs old, & all still work perfectly.

Just as a warning, I bought a digital eBay gauge and it is very innacurate.
You can put it on the valve and it maye say 24psi, then take it off and redo it and it may say 36psi... and its different nearly every time...lol
The moral of this story is buy a reputable brand

Ive had 2 VDO gauges (2 cars) (from ARB) for nearly 20 years.
Both still work fine and read 1 psi diff.

I have two American made Accu-guages. One does low pessure very accurately, 0-30 lb and was used for my dirt bikes and the other is 0-80lb I think. Very well made, very accurate. I also have 2 x vdo and a pcl pencil type but the accu-guages are far better in my opinion.
