i have almost finished my IFS outers, and realised that the WMS is still about 1/2-3/4 of an inch from the end of the hub and i dicussed this with cplux before i started the hubs.
Has anyone machined new hubs that sits the wheel out futher. i am seriously thinking about doing this as it would net about extra 1 1/2 inch more width on toy axles over the IFS hubs.
pros and cons, pics?

I think the only Plus for this would be that you may get away with the mod if you had to go for a machinery.Apart from that i wouldnt bother as wheel spacers are easy. The other prob is the turning radius will increase and you may find you will scrub the tyres on the firewall a lot more.

the only reason i was looking at it was for transport reasons, and wheel spacers would be a shit load easier.
you think even with the diff foward the tyres will rub on the fire wall?

Nick, its a good thing. Wheel spacers aren't legal and can't be engineered, wider hubs can.

Nick they would also have greater leverage on your swivel hub bearings. mine seem to be holding up to the ifs ok, but i'd just watch em more closely if ya did this.
Great idea but.

you can do this with rear hubs too
i think that is too far nick, at least with the IFS hubs they are a off the shelf item
