Why would it fall out easy you can lift the arse of a 2.5 ton vehicle of the ground with a trailer hitch.

i think it'd be in the back of my mind sitting on the freeway, especially the way he's done it. bit dodgy.

I have thought about this just recently but thought that the traditional hitch would be too dodgy. i was thinking one of those hitches you see on the camper trailers that and like those extreme shackles. maybe someone knows the name or what i am talking about

Thats the one. i reckon it would be more secure than this cause at big angles these things can jump off. that why the chains are there ;)

POS's old lux ran one on the rear susp.
I believe the Mogrover may use one also.

of course it would come off - don't you have any 'mates'.

treg hitches do not have all freedoms of movement in the same axis, and may bind under complex loads. should still work but 1 heavy, 2 the urathne will die by hydrolisis in 5 years and 3 they are dearer than a correct option like a r/r ball or a far lesser j/j

...I guess he could make the argument that it is 'similar' to a rangy a frame pivot. Kind-of, sort-of if you squint really hard.

i'm pretty sure there was a hilux in last years woodpecker that had this kind of setup with the trailer hitch and ball... white single cab from memory.

by not not
Yes the mog does use a treg hitch as well as the old POS hilux and to my knowledge neither have been replaced as yet and both are still going strong.
