rangie on two wheel dyno

rangie on two wheel dyno
Hi
Just wondering if anyone have run a viscous diff'ed rangie on a two wheel dyno . I am not keen to go with the suggested " remove front drive shaft " due to the load it would put on " A " the t/case and "b" the rear drive line etc .
But want to run the thing over a syno to see what diferent there is with the megasquirt computer running .
maybe I have to keep looking for a 4 wheel dyno

I would have thought. That on a dyno there would be very little chance of damage if the center diff was locked and the front shaft was removed. But just leaving it unlocked and putting it on a dyno. Want tell you very accruatly what power you have. As it will be still trying to transfer some power to the front.
Or have I got it wrong and these things cant be locked?

you can't lock VC transfer cases manually

Im all for the " I cook it " idea .
Doubt there will be any power gains with the megasquirt , was really looking for some ecomony back to to dead sensors on the rangie but now I also have a supercharger that I may bolt on , so there goes any fuel saving I may have got . But on the other side should show power gain .

Sorry poor choice of words . I meant I agree with you as in it will get cooked if I try dynoing it without the front shaft .
I will just hunt around for a 4wd dyno , there are a few around just a bit further than just down the road like a 2wd dyno .
May not even bother I was just curious .
