I had one in mine that fits up to a 6.2 chev V8 diesel, no probs what so ever.
Ring Marks and ask them if the adapter kit for the 6.2 chev engine will fit the 304 holden motor. If it does, I have a full kit that I don't need anymore, we can sort something out for how much.
It was used in my 60series, I've cleaned it all up and all parts are there to bolt straight up to the 5speed g'box from a 2H. I can also supply the g'box if you need, and a heavy duty Safari Exedy clutch kit that has only done about 1000kms before I pulled the motor out.
Cheers,
Brighty.

I used a Marks kit for the 73 series middy. Engine / trans ended up on more of a slope than before (engine higher) which resulted in only 1cm clearance between the front drive shaft and the chassis cross member.
Ended up lifting the gearbox 2in to pull it all back into line (I have 2in body lift) and getting shafts adjusted to suit.
bonus there was no lengthening gearsticks for the body lift and more clearance under the gearbox
thanks
