Did a search and did not come up with much..
Am very sick of the crap seats in the 2dr Rangie.. have some nice disco seats that may find a new home.. HOWEVER.. the seatbelts as we all know are attached to the seat..
So.. I would like to see some examples or hear any ideas on how I can SAFELY go about mounting some seatbelts to the B-Pillar in the 2dr..

Can't picture a 2door pillar, but i had the same seat/belt combo in my 4door and changed the seats over to later model ones. Ritters had a kit to relocate the new seatbelts to the pillar. Basically around 12mm thick, 25mm wide 150mm long bar with a whole in the centre (for seatbelt bolt) and a whole either end.
You drill a whole in the pillar (up where the seatbelt bolt should go) big enough for the belt bolt and 2 more holes in line with the wholes on the bar. Next a hole in the bottom of the pillar to slide the bar up into, drop a string down and pull the bar up into place. The 2 holes are to pop rivet the bar into place just to hold it there and the seatbelt can be bolted into place.
Hope this can Help
Damien

Craig, easy enough to make yourself, just a lenght of flat bar with a nut welded to it or drilled/ tapped to suit.

I think it was around $40-$50 a pair, ritters had these engineered at some stage, just need to sort the lower section out

To be legal, it has to be engineered.

The other possible solution to this which might be tidier if you don't waht to mess too much with teh body,, is to get a set of replacement seats with internal seat belts.

BMW E46 (year 2000 onwards) convertible front seats have the belts in them - so you could have a choice of leather, electric adjustment etc if you wanted.....

I'm planning to do this once I can find a nice set of black leather seats.

I think some SL mercs might also have internal belts......

Midnight spares you say eh   just kidding ... that was the plan some time ago.. apparently some Hondas had em too.. and a few others as well.. But I do have a set of nice Disco seats just sitting in the garage.. but if I could get my hands on some cheap Beemer seats.. that would be sweet.. but I would imagine they would cost more than my rangie.. ;)
