Yes, sort of.

We have a 98 model Prado and just after buying it we threw the small skinny road tyres off and put 265/75/16 mud tyres on and promptly threw it at everything we could. At this stage the suspension was still stock standard but we had to trim the front mudflaps so the tyres wouldn't scrub on them, until.......  .

We went through a 2 foot deep bog hole that just happened to have a submerged rock at the far end of the right hand wheel track. In my exuberance to make sure I didn't get bogged I hit the end of the bog hole reasonably hard, therefore when the drivers side front wheel hit the submerged rock it promptly shoved the wheel that hard up inside the guard that I pushed the inner guard off the firewall....... :bad-words: :x :x .

After this woopsy we got lifted springs put in that meant that now the tyres had better clearance. I haven't had any issues since then.

Long answer to a short question. sorry. :) :)

they will rub slightly on the mudflap.

I used to run 285/75/16 MTRs on mine, and they fitted in the rear ok, we just needed to FBH the rear of the front inner fenders where they met the floor pan, to create some space.

You can always have your castor adjusted to give a little more clearance.
