Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey Guys i have a 89 swb mav that has 3 inch king springs, i have heard that you can run 79 series cruiser shocks in the front if you have a 2 inch shock tower spacer i no lockee and a few others run these in the front of gq's. My questions are, how do they work (ie good bad) and what are the open closed lenghts of these shocks, i am talking ridepro here
