Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Well after 3 months of waiting for a call back from Rhino linings I decide to do it my self!!

I used a product called 'Hippo Liner' it’s a 2 part polyurethane mix..... and can be by roller, brush or with a splatter gun between 45 and 60 psi. BTW doesn’t come off yr hands thou once it sets :( so have lots of gloves around!!.
It appears like a plastics liner but nothing can get under it!! The floor coat is about 2 - 3mm thick and the walls 1 - 2mm. Sanding the tub down and masking it all off sucked big time and took the most time but like all paint jobs the prep is will decide the outcome of the finished job. I highly recommend it!! Price for the kit was about 130 buks so not that expensive!! Compared to 'Rhino Linings' that quoted me almost 800 buks to do the same thing!!!!!! (And they could learn a few things about customer service!!! (in Melbourne anyway) I am not a panel beater or painter so anyone can do it just prep the tub and this stuff will out last any plastic liner!!

I used a splatter gun set at 50 psi.... didnt take long at all. Mixing it was hardish cause its like a paste rather then a paint. But I am told it can be tinted to any colour apart from silver

be nice to see how this holds up.
my mates herculiner was not as good as i expected, but maybe it needed another coat..

Great looking job and you saved bucks in the process. Where about did you buy the kit from and if you apply with a brush, whats the outcome like ?

If you have a compressor a splatter gun is about the cheapest accessory you can get for it... so I wouldn't brush it on.

I would hate todo it with a brush this stuff is like a paste!! roller maybe. I went over the the bit that will cop the most abuse with the roller supplied to give a real rough texture but the splatter gun is the best way!!
