Shameless plug

There's plenty of bad news stories out there but it's sometimes rare to hear a good one. I've always had by exhaust work done at Quickfit Performance at Hornsby, and they just reworked my exhaust as required for engineering. Absolutly faultless work, and excellent prices too. They do alot of performance work and have also done a number of Lexus V8's into Hilux conversions. So if you need any advice on that subject, or exhaust/intercooler/performance work, give them a call.
I think it's great to find someone who's not afraid of something out of the ordinary [i got turned away by two places for exhaust work on the surf] but it's like these guys almost like the challenge.

If you make the call, speak to steve, he's the manager and knows his $hit.

Their new address is: 2-27 King Rd, Hornsby
P.H: 9476 2877

Had my exhaust done at tyrepower in Grange in Brisbane and was very happy with the result and the price.

Full system (already had extractors) in multiple diameters (2" and 2 1/4") with a secondhand HSV cat and all mandrel bent done for under $300. Cleaner emissions than my stock pipe but with more power and sounds GRRRRRReat.

It's good when people will actually do the job rather than knock you back due to insurance or roadworthy issues these days. So finding a place who can do what you want and with a few minor mods make it legal and better than what you planned is always worthy of a plug.

Maybe we should have another thread for this? I know I have a few companies that deserve a good thanking from me - Suzisport at Stafford, Albion and West Heidelberg (Vic), Aus4wd Kilsyth (Vic) etc.

Should we also put names of people - or not just in case they get in trouble with their boss for doing things so cheap :D

Few years ago I needed a wiring diagram for a nissan rb20t conversion I was doing, no one would part with one when I knew they had them, but quickfit performance hornsby where more than happy to give me a copy.

If you ask me a special post should be made up. A lot of good businesses out there aren't getting the praise they deserve. It is hard to find people who listen to what you want (trust me some mechanics think because you are a woman that you don't know anything and they can rip you off) and and actually do the things you ask. I say plug away :)

we can reduce the price of the second transmission if you do not wish to purchase the reverse gear with it. Muffler grease topped up etc.

  It's cheaper too if you get your steering wheel and spare aligned at the same time as the others.  :D

And while they are at it check the halogen fluid and the spare transmission, most cars have one but if you get another one you'll have much safer motoring
