Can I easily swap my 4.1 diff centre to a 4.3 diff centre.
It is a 90 model turbo diesel auto 80 series with factory lockers and I would like to keep these lockers.
Are the centres different between the factory lockers and the limited slip centres?
Cheers

the front, yes, the rear no...the front is a straight swap, however, the 4.3's are alot weaker than the 4.1's as the 4.3's have 2 extra teeth on thesame size ring. The 100 series rear diff is completly diff-erent ring so not interchangeable unless you bolt a 100 rear diff in complete...which is not such a bad idea....
Have you considered the marks transfer gears???

Yeah but I would like to get rid of some of that excessive backlash that I have. My CV's are stuffed so fixing these might get rid of it. Here's hoping anyway.
Transfer gearing all seems so expensive.

Mate just Paid Mannell $1700 for 4.8's...thats about the price of tranny gears. Diffs are now weaker, or at the very least....harder to find spares for
