Buying a turboed 2.8 desiel for $3,500 would come with alt, starter, and all bits n pieces not needed with V8 conversion.
I am thinking of pulling it out around xmas and dropping in a V8 (prob 253) and running it on straight gas. I`m still trying to decide what V8 I want with the $$$$ I don`t have
Idealy I want an injected 5Lt but I just don`t have the $$$$ for that.

No, at this stage I`m still trying to decide just what I want to do.
But if it looks like I`ll be able to sell my motor for what I want for it then I`ll start having a good look around at motors and gas systems and see just what it will all cost me.
Oh and before any body jumps in and says "over heating" I`m going to run 2 radiators, one in the front and one on the tray, can you say water volume
Basicly I`m either doing this or a marlin next.

I got it with 33,000kms on it and have done mostly highway kms, put turbo on at around 140,000kms. This motor has never missed a beat and has been serviced every 5000kms. The only thing I could say about it is that at 200,000kms it is due for a new T belt, but that is just a normal every 100,000kms service thing.
