I want to find out what setup others are running and if they're happy with it. I used to have a 5 leaf pack consisting of 2x8mm mains with 3x6mm and I found it a bit stiff. So this yesterday I put in a new pack with 6x6mm leaves but it appeared to be too soft. I didn't drive it but by jumping around on the tray and the physical shape of the leaves, I'd say that they were too soft. As such, I pulled another 6mm leaf out of my old pack which gave me a 7x6mm pack. This is too stiff but is comparable to the original pack.

What are the specs of the leaves used in the mazda and falcon packs?

I run 8 x 7mm packs but since my springs are about 1500mm long (longer the spring the less weight it will carry) this is good for flex and 4x4ing but to soft for highway driving. I am about to be putting another full length leaf in the pack which will give me 9 x 7mm. Three of these are full lenght then they step back by 1 to 2 inches.

Adding the extra full length leaf will stiffen it up a bit and yes I will loose a bit of up travel but when I finally get longer shocks I will gain more down travel as the shocks I have now are to short (front and rear)
