Hi Everyone

I just have purchased a 1991 Suzuki Sierra JX soft top in excellent condition. Its been owned by a lady so its completly standard.

What do you think i should do to it to make it a better off road 4wd. I was thinking a suspension kit, from ARB or susiworks or who ever. Also need to get some new tyres and rims for it.

What rims do i get and what size tyres will fit on a standard suzi and what size will fit on a slightly lifted suzi, no body lift.

Thanks

Jason

Depends really how hard u wanna go....

2 inch springs and extended shackles will clear 31s..but they will rub most likely...31" MTRs on 15x7 rims is probly good enuf for a nice balance

For 4wd ability, lockers and rockhopper is by far the best mods u can do

Thats it in a nutshell......this topic has been done to death so just do a search for tyres and lifts etc....

rims: 15x7 ford f-series rims from a wrecker will suit.
tyres: tall and skinny is the way to go imho. stick to 31x10.5 mud terrains and you'll have little issues. mongrels are cheap. bfg m/t (and similar copies) are okay. goodyear mtrs are okay too.
lockers: weld the rear. leave the front open.
other cheap mods: diff breathers, 4" angle along the sills

Hey Jason,

In case you haven't already read it, check out this sticky at the top of the suzuki forum... There's plenty in there to read up about when setting up your new suzuki.

http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... php?t=7787

Secondly, where abouts are you located? You may find the best way to work out what direction you want to go with you car is to go along to a suzuki club meeting (if there is one in your area) and see what people are doing to their cars there...

Cheers
