The time has come to retire the Pajero to shopping and school duties so I am looking at buying a gq in the next couple of weeks, problem being is I have no idea what inherent problems I should be looking for. Ihave also heard that some models come standard with rear locker is this the TI ? I am happy to pay up to about the $10 000 mark which i beleive should be sufficient to get a clean unit. Would also like to know what the 4.2 petrol is like on gas as diesel is not an option. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers Eddy

had to say cos mine isn't standard, but God knows u dont want staight petrol cos it will be costly, if diesil is out of the question, go dual fuel or stight gas like mine, only thing is bit scary if going touring, hard to get lpg in outback.
look for head gaskets, rust in rear qtr windows. over all top rigs.

If your after a good one , I know this guy would take a fair bit off what he is asking . Its as good as brand new. 56k
All it needs is gas.

If I could do it again I would get a Petrol and put it on gas.
The petrol ones seem to have head cracking problems but they dont seem to come up until they have a couple of hundred thou on them.
