Any change to your suspension has to affect handling.
It all depends on personal preference.
Off road crawling is better without a sway bar.
Off road racing high speed is better with a sway bar.
On road is better with a sway bar.
Most modern shockers are progressive, ie they stiffen up at speed, thus making sway bar less necessary.
It is illegal to take it off I'm guessing

yup sure is. over here in NZ you can get away with a hell of alot more than most of you auzzies do eg. swaybar, as bigger tyres you want, lifts etc, some has to be certified but you can slip under the radar very easily

right well im going out to the garage to take it off then

Last wof on my zuk in NZ they failed me on worn bushes in the front sway bar . So I said 'What if I take it off " , They said " Well the worn bushes would not be there anymore " Off it came , one wof issued .
they also failed me on no rear seat belts , i have no back seat . No way around it . had to put the seat belts back in ( no seat remember ) to get the wof .
So ask yourself , ok to remove a susp component but not ok to not have a seat belt for no seat . What is it coming to .
Still we have it better than you guys in Ausie , but we are catching up .

Word of warning.
The extra front travel will strain your cv's if you give it too much welly.
So be gentle on accelerator if articulating and/or hard turning.

you will notice the extra body roll when you remove the sway bar at speed. If you drive easy everywhere, you will hardly notice the difference. once removed, i found the front moved alot more freely through obstacles.

just a thing to also think about, is that after removing the sway bar, you will get a lot more dive into a corner, like when you're racing for the yellow light at a right hand turn.
like the old honda ATV trikes, the always tended to flip when turning. and like Mr Beans enemy car, the 3 wheeled thing.
the vit will be less flat through corners, and depending on your sus set up, can lift the inside rear wheel if you're going in too hard.
i find that its a lot better off road, but not the crazy fast 80km/h dirt road style, and that its a lot more comfortable.

Yea i considered all of this and decided i would take it out. but just like any other mod you have to adjust your driving style to suit the vehicle...which is what i will have to do...so no racing to that yellow light lol
