Specific offset rims are safer.

I had alloy 2" spacers for over a year.
It was a nuisance having 2 sets of nuts to remove every time I worked on it.
My wheel brace no longer fitted thru to the nuts.
I never had any probs with them coming loose, but others say they have.
Offsetting rims is much cheaper and a bit safer.
But wheel spacers can be removed for rta checks, or road wheels etc.

I borrowed my spacers, had to give em back, but would never buy them new.
Would have to be a good price to be better than offset rims, for me.

Sounds like a good price, they are a very precisely engineered thing, so never be cheap.

My rim mods cost around $40 each.
