Repacking Hubs - Sierra

whats the go with the hubs...after taking the switch cover off (free -->lock)is it ok to pack the hubs fully with grease or just smear it on the parts that count? Have had a bit of water in there so i thought the more grease the better...

I think the time my hub went was because there was too much greese in there but maybe not. When we did mine the guy over the road did it for me and we did the bearings at the same time.

Best to only use a smear, otherwise you can get hydraulic lock, and they won't work well.
