Mate just a thought to get you thinking

If you dont mind changing a diesel engine to a petrol engine. Keep your engine block where it is

And replace the rd28 head with a Rb26 twin cam head as your bottom end is tuff as nails and can handle good boost

That will blow the pants of the Just get a TD42 cheer squad

As for low down 4x4 power Just fitt rockhoppers

I looked into fitting a twin cam head to my rd2.8 and keep it diesel .
But the only problem I found was the diesel injector pump was in the way of the inlet manifold all else was good as gold

Hmmmmmm, fit a RB26 petrol head to an RD28 diesel block, ain't gonna happen in this lifetime.
