Rangie Carb flooding

Rangie Carb flooding
Been having problems with my rangie lately, it runs fine on the hi-ways, but stalls on stop-go situations, prolonged idle and while offroading where I'm forced to go slow. The problem is when the engine dies, you'll have to wait a while to let the excess petrol dry in the carbs before it starts... even the pedal to the floor trick won't get it started. Must be a case of flooding carbs as you'll see some gas leak from the driver side carb down to the manifolds. Should I have the carbs checked? Someone suggested I should have the float checked? I also suspect a mismatched fuel pump as I replaced mine with a FACET solid state electronic fuel pump...the return might be too restricted for the pressure of the pump? Any ideas?
