where abouts in the turning circle does it hit?? Your best bet in the end might be a histeer setup

You've got too much lift!

The cheapest fix is to refit your old leaves, the easiest fix is to get a dropped draglink from BBM etc, the best fix is a crossover steering conversion from Superior Engineering or ORI.

The only option you have today is to refit the old springs or pull some leaves from the new pack to lower the height. Sounds like it's 3" plus anyway

Good luck!

You can buy u bolts that are flat on the top to stop this, this is a common problem nearly every hilux ive seen with a dropped drag link has these u bolts they give you around 5mm extra clearence cheers.

i can refit the old springs as 3 out of 4 leafs are broken

Flat u bolts wont fix it, you will need the dropped link which will still drag when that side is at full drop or x-over steer.

Ive been through this very drama before. ;)

what will get you out of trouble to get home is to take the spring out and take out a leaf or two, this will move the U bolt away from the drag link giving you the room to move. This is only a temporary fix, just till you get some of the correct U bolts.

A cheaper alternative to the drop drag link is to chop the drag link where it joins UNDER the bottom ball joint, and weld it to the TOP of the bottom ball joint. Similar effect to the drop drag link.

Disclaimer: May be defected by the Filth if you get pulled over and they give it a going over, but they'd be doing well to notice it.

i woudlnt go cutting and welding any parts of your steering at all mate. liek others have said jsut remove some leaves till u can buy a drop dragged link or go crossover. a few more hours int he shed is alot better than loosing steering al together
