anybody bobed 4THGEN hilux tub

ihave aquired a 4THGen hilux tray (2003) to fit to my ln106 and want to know if anyone has bobed one , seen it done, has pics or anything that might help.
im a bit worried as the rear slopes a fair bit

a few of the minni truck boys have been creating "shorties" of late........ essentially bobtailing there utes
perhapse some of there sites may be of some help if u get none here

BTW roberts, a 2003 tray would be a 4th Gen

Heaps of people have done this on Pirate4x4. Check that site out.
Ill be doing it to my Gen 2 Runner soon and will do a thread if it works out good.

iv been thinking wouldnt mind a canopy one day
what are peoples throughts on bobing a single cab enough to fit a extra cab canopy

fark the extra cab canopy idea off.
bob the tub, then if needed build one incorporating roll bars which you can cover over with a custom canvas canopy

Done it to a 3rd Gen lux i think (1994) - It rocks! Have tried like hell to hit the back and cannot. Big difference from the old hilux getting it's arse hung up trick they seem to do so well. I have heaps of pics at home and will post some or email them to you if you like.
I tell you the amount of looks you get on the road is only out numbered by the looks you get at places like Cruiser Park!

Single Cab. Chopped about 400mm out of the tub.

dont bob tail it if it is a single cab cut 395mm out of your chasis and stick a xtra cab tub on it and sell me the single cab tub i need one bad

'Shortie' mini-trucks aren't bobbed,they're actually shortened chassis,a section is chopped out of the chassis rails then brought together & strengthened.My brother did this to a brand new rodeo just 2mths ago.But yes,at first glance it looks 'bobbed'.
