is it okay to be engaging or disengagin arb lockers will on the move say around 70 to 100 km/hr

Trying to understand a situation where you'd need to engage the locker at those speeds. It won't matter if you disengage at those speeds. Usually you only need to engage when you are coming up to an obstacle which usually means you are going a fair bit slower. They are strong but I'd be more worried about braking other parts in your diff like an axle or a CV.

Fair enough question, but at what point around 70 km/h does traction take over from momentum?

it wont hurt it as long as both wheels are doin the same speed.. ive engaged mine at that speed on the beach b4 lots of times

There is no reasons why you could not do it but I would make sure that you are driving straight and are not spinning any wheels when engaging the locker. Also at those speeds are not going to need to turn especially for a front locker.

thanks guys, the reason i ask is a mate loves to flick em on round town just to stir rice burners and jap crap, cause the pressure valve sounds cool . but when he said hes got a clicky cv, its making me wonder if thats part of the cause.
