have you had a read through the Toyota section, done a bit of a search as this is a topic that comes up all the time. There will also be many members threads with info on how they have lifted their Toyotas to fit bigger tyres

body lift or grinder or sus lift
but the easyiest would be the grinder

Get a nice solid hammer, ie a gympie or a big ball peen.
Take off tyres, remove and discard mudflaps (if fitted), use hammer to fold over the seam on the firewall where tyre scrubs.
If it still hits you have 2 options cut or body lift.
Susp lift wont stop the tyres from hitting unless you also lower your bumpstops.

Yep the 33's rub on the Pwado as well. Have taken the grinder to it (as far as i dare) and the hammer. Now they only rub on full lock under compression (even the slightest) but it just sounds bad - when these 285/75's are gone then i'll consider dropping to 32" or narrower ones. Mud gets everywhere now as the 'yota' inners nologer exist either.
Take the tools to it and bugger the old fella

3" is too high in my opinion go for a 2"
Also 2" is max legally I believe.

Sell them, cut your losses and buy a 2" kit...
Seriously, there's heaps of posts in the Toyota section about it, and i've posted heaps of info in there about mine (33's, 2" body lift= No probs).

Some engineers are fine with 3", others wont do more than 2"... none are legal without being engineered

Ok, the old man's view
His first choice was to "just drive it and let the tyres do the work".
Second choice was a FB hammer to make the room
Third choice was the 3" inch body lift
Forth choice was hacking into the guards and fixing it later.
First choice - not much money, near new muddies (95% tread), would you??
Second choice, bash away and worry about guards/tub alignment if he ever gets pulled over or at next rego check (which ever comes first
), would you?
Third choice, dosent like the side angles lean with just a 2" lift, wants to go softer springs for more articulation to play on bigger rocks (hmmm more lean),
Forth choice, "I'll just cut it here and there and later on think about closing in the panels, by the way do you have a saw or grinder or something to cut it with"
Just running the new tyres until it is all bashed up enough??????? Need I say more???
Most of us have gone the technical tap before but to start laying into the body until the tyres fit????
I don't have any issues with lifting the body (after all both my 4bies had/have 2" body lifts) but 3" on the body of a lux with larger soft springs and you already hate side angles??? Sliders take care of sills.
No real issue with cutting so long as it is thought about, planned and cleaned up/finished off.
So guess this "Old Fart" will get off his soap box now and "lurk" in the shadows

Go 1" body lift, and adjust the seam on your firewall... that with a bit of bump stop tuning should make it work.

I got 33's on my Rodeo,
Yes a Rodeo with no body lift just a t/bar wind up. 2" rear springs lift and a little cut and shut to the rear of the front guards.
I thought Hilux's had plenty of guard clearance
