Right this has been bugging me for a while, my 1994 'Cruiser has a manual aerial, which is a sod when you start driving and forget to extend it!!!!! Not tried to get my passenger to lean of the window whilst on the move yet!!!!

I have found this (details below) but it says it is for 1995-00 Models!!!! Has anyone fitted one of these to a pre 1995 Landcruiser 80 series??? any problems??? I cant see why there would be difference between pre 95 and post 95 vehicles, except maybe lack of wiring!

or anyone know of another electric antenna make??? and finally has anyone installed a switch like the 100series has, so you can lower the aerial but still have the stereo switched on???

Aerpro AP176 (from Repco and Super Cheap etc)

put an auto antenna in my 97 80s no probs. bit tight getting in there but it fits well. remember if you run and ipod with itrip you will need to put a switch inline if the power lead for the antenna so its not up when you use the ipod as you will pick up heaps of static etc.

cheers.

I have a 100 series and im wanting to take my auto antenna off and put on a good quality flexable one because every time you go off-road you have to put it down which means no reception and if you forget to put it down it snaps.

I would recomend at flexable rubber atenna.
