Was out wheelin today and broke the sector shaft in the 80 steering box. Lucky i had a spare box with me as the mate i was with steering box was dodgy so we took my spare box with us ( his seal was leaking and shaft twisted ). Got the job now to replace the shafts in 2 p/s boxes with new genuine shafts and have done this in the past and the genuine sealkit from Toyota ( does wholebox ) it $200 plus and the only seals i need are the ones for the sector shaft ( teflon ring, energising o-ring and lip seal ). The ones i need are for the 34mm shaft size and i believe some 80's had a 32mm shaft size. I read some time ago that the seals are available aftermarket so where can i get them from ?

If there is a number that is retrivable that is a big help they should be able to match it from that. If cbc haven't got anything which is highly unlikely try repco.

Yeah we got a place like that in ACT. Consolidated Bearing Company. They sell all sorts of gaskets, seals, bearings, belts etc. 80UTE, If you have something similar to that in your area, id try them first, otherwise goto Toyota. I bought genuine seals, the same as you need, for my old power steering box (its FOR SALE if anyones interested), and they cost me about 13 bucks.
