Winch rope lengths

Post by up2nogood »

I saw a table once (might have been on here, but I searched and found nowt) that showed how many metres of rope you could fit.

But I can't find the damn thing anymore.

Does anyone know how much rope fits onto a Warn XD9000? I'm thinking 10mm.

Going to replace the cable on the Aldi Chinese Warn knock off too. They reckon its 9,500lb.......

Don't be tempted to squeeze to much on, especially on a low mount. I t just means the you need to be more careful with the set up and keep an eye on it more. It's a real pain in the ass once it has bunched up and jammed itself between the tie bars.

I have 125' on mine without any problems. How much did you want to put on it?
Thanks,

Thanks fellas, that's exactly what I was looking for. It was the Rockstomper site I needed.

I was just gonna put125' (38-40m) on them both.

You are not alone, chasing plasma rope etc. I have a Warn 9000, and looking to replace the wire with plasma. I'd appreciate knowing where you end up getting the cable from.
Thanks.
