3 months ago i paid 16K from a dealer in Perth for an Auto with 194000km (couldnt find cheaper in the classifieds without travelling lots), from what I have learnt they are a strong motor. Just do the usual checks, oil in water, condition of oils, how old do the consumables (filters, leads, dizzy cap) look i.e. have they been changed recently. Not too sure of any others to be honest, a road test should highlight any major probs.

Good luck

I bought a 93 auto GXL with 160,000km's from Sydney about a year ago and paid $15,500. The rego was almost up though.
Does it have service history? Landcruiser will run forever but only if they have been looked after.

Im being offered 6k for my auto at yards, so they are probably worth 10k now...plenty on ebay for less than that too.

I paid 9k for a gxl auto with 200,000 on the clock. 6800 is probably getting to where they are price wise. Still a good truck for the dollars providing you don't have to do a head etc.

Hi there Team Fx, pay a bit more and get yourself a mickey mouse one with a lot lower klms and there are shit loads around especially now with the price of fuel they cant get rid of them but other than that as said above if well serviced will go forever, just make sure it has the service records with it dont take some one's word for it,any body can change the oil 5 minutes before you turn up to make it look good engine wise. Dont know where your located but heap here in Sydney. Expect to use around 18/20 litres per 100 klms around town. Regards steve M
